The Draft General Plan and Townhall Meetings Coming Up!

Since December 2009 staff and consultants have been preparing the Preliminary Draft of the General Plan. The release date for the draft is scheduled for February 2010. Release of the Preliminary Draft General Plan Document will be followed by a Community Open House scheduled for March 13.

At their meeting on January 12, the City Council approved 2 new Townhall meetings to follow the release of the Preliminary Draft General Plan Document. The meetings are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 17 and Saturday, May 8 of this year. More information regarding meeting venues and times to come.

The Council also approved an additional revision cycle for the Draft General Plan Document. This means that the Preliminary Draft Document released in February will be revised by the GPUSC per comments/input received at the Townhall meetings.

The next scheduled GPUSC meeting is February 10, at the Fire Station Training Room from 6:30 - 9:30 +/-
