Attend the upcoming General Plan Update Meetings!!!

The GPUSC will be reviewing working drafts of each specific General Plan element over the next six months. The following schedule details when the GPUSC will review each Element. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings. Note - all meetings will be held in the Firehouse Training Room at 6:30.

  • July 22 - Economic Stability and Public Facilities Elements.

  • August 26 - Public Health, Safety & Noise; and Parks & Recreation Elements.

  • September 23 - Community Design and Transportation Elements.

  • October 28 - Arts, Culture & Entertainment and Climate Change Elements.

General Plan Update Working Draft Elements Available for Review/Comment

The GPUSC has initiated the review and revision process for each element of the General Plan Update. If you wish to participate in this process and cannot attend a regularly scheduled GPUSC meeting you are welcome to review the elements posted in the "DOCUMENTS" category of this web site. In addition, the public is welcome to submit comments on each working draft element via the "Learn More..." Link below. The submittal deadline for community comments on working draft elements is November 15.  Learn more...

Administrative Draft of Housing Element is Available

Staff has received and responded to comments from HCD regarding the Draft Housing Element Update. The documents are available for review via the link below. The first public hearing is scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting on July 21.  Learn more...

Adams St Visioning Process Completed

The City Council received the Final Design Portfolio for the Adams St Visioning Process at their meeting on May 26. The document includes a vision statement, design recommendations and land use plan that will be utilized in future development efforts for this parcel. General Plan Community Workshop - Thank You!

We had a great turnout at the March 28 General Plan Community Workshop. The event included interactive breakout sessions that allowed small groups to discuss and critique 5 potential land use change areas throughout the community. The groups then presented their findings back to the group. The exercise generated valuable participation and input.
